Leadership Spotlight: Meet Ashik

Most people need to be sold. Ashik was already sure. For our Chief Revenue Officer, that certainty came before he ever sat down with the Avenant team, he'd already seen enough to know this was a solution families and elders actually needed, and one worth building. In this interview, he shares his thoughts about what drew him to Avenant, his vision for how we grow, and what keeps him motivated to move the company forward.

My career has always centered on building businesses, creating systems that scale, and solving complex problems through technology. I've worked across industries where innovation, data, and execution were critical, but over time I became increasingly interested in challenges that directly impact people's lives. Aging is a universal challenge that touches every family, and I see and feel it every day with my parents.

What attracted me to Avenant was the opportunity to combine technology, AI, and human-centered care in a way that can genuinely improve quality of life. I brought with me an entrepreneurial mindset, experience building and scaling ventures, and a belief that technology should make life more accessible, more dignified, and more connected for the people who need it most.

For me, it wasn't one specific moment. It was seeing how many families struggle to balance independence, safety, health, and connection for aging loved ones. Technology has transformed nearly every aspect of our lives, yet aging support has often remained reactive rather than proactive.

What changed my perspective was realizing that AI can become a constant companion, strengthening human relationships rather than replacing them. AI can help identify risks earlier, reduce isolation, simplify daily living, and provide support at moments when people would otherwise be alone. That's when it became clear that technology could fundamentally improve the experience of growing older. As we get older, for many, silence is what kills us. If we have an opportunity to solve this, I'm all in.

I hope they feel empowered, respected, and connected.

Aging should not mean losing independence or becoming invisible. If we've done our job well, people will feel confident that they have support when they need it, freedom when they don't, and a greater sense of control over their own lives. Most importantly, I hope they feel that someone is looking out for them, without sacrificing their dignity. I really hope they never feel alone, or unsafe.

The real measure of success won't be revenue, users, or growth charts. It will be hearing stories from families who tell us that a parent stayed independent longer, felt less lonely, remained healthier, or simply enjoyed life more because of what we built.

Every one of us hopes to live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. AI gives us a chance to move from reactive care to proactive well-being, helping people stay healthier, more connected, and more independent for longer. Knowing that what we're building could positively affect millions of lives is incredibly motivating.

My industry is aging, everyone is aging, if we can use technology to improve the quality of life and longevity in mind, body and soul even by one day, we have done our job.
